Abstract: Viable Systems Model (VSM), as the main methodological tool of Organizational Cybernetics, is one of the most relevant tool for organizational complexity management and designing an efficient and adaptable organization. The Model is based on a few fundamental cybernetic ideas: feedback, feedforward, black box, variety, recursion. Bringing together implementation, coordination, contol, development and identity, VSM can be creatively used in a valid diagnosing and (re)designing of the contemporary organizations. Consequently, a possible application of VSM in the process of (re)designing organization is illustrated in a Case study - the company "XYZ".
